Simpler Email Sequences: Branching on Candidate Replies

Learn how email sequences in Access Automate Outreach now branch based on whether a candidate replied, with a built-in 3-day wait on the No Response path for more natural outreach timing.

Written by Terence Cassidy

Email sequences in Access Automate Outreach now branch based on the signal that matters most: whether a candidate replied. This makes sequences simpler to build and easier to understand at a glance.

How Branching Works

When you build an email sequence, each email step can branch into two paths:

  • Replied - for candidates who responded to the email.

  • No Response - for candidates who did not reply.

Each path is clearly laid out in the sequence builder, so you can define exactly what happens next in each scenario without ambiguity.

The 3-Day Default Wait

The No Response path includes a 3-day wait by default before the next email is sent. This gives candidates enough time to respond before a follow-up is triggered, reducing the chance of over-messaging and making your outreach feel more natural.

🤓 Tip: You can adjust the wait time on the No Response path to suit your outreach cadence.

Why This Matters

  • Sequences are clearer to build - each path has a defined purpose.

  • Candidates who reply are handled separately from those who haven't, so your follow-up is always relevant.

  • The default wait prevents premature follow-ups and gives candidates a reasonable window to respond.
