PDL Credits and Enrichment: How Billing Works

Explains how People Data Labs (PDL) credits work in Access Automate Outreach - what's free, what costs credits, how much enrichment costs, and how to manage your credit balance.

Written by Terence Cassidy

Access Automate Outreach uses People Data Labs (PDL) to enrich prospect data - filling in missing email addresses and phone numbers. Understanding how credits work helps you use enrichment efficiently and avoid unexpected credit depletion.

What Is PDL Enrichment?

PDL (People Data Labs) is a professional data provider integrated into Access Automate Outreach. It gives you access to verified contact details — including email addresses and phone numbers - for prospects where your CRM data is incomplete.

PDL enrichment can be run:

  • Manually, for individual leads from the Leads List within an automation.

  • In bulk, across a selected set of leads.

  • Automatically, triggered by automation events such as a first connection (auto enrichment).

Credit Model: What's Free and What Costs Credits

📌 As of the May 2026 release, PDL searches are free. Credits are only charged when enrichment successfully returns data.

Action

Credit cost

Searching for prospects in PDL

Free - browse as broadly as you want before committing

Successful enrichment (contact details found and returned)

0.5 credits per successful enrichment

Failed enrichment (no match found)

Free - no charge if PDL cannot find a match

⚠️ Important: The credit model changed in the May 2026 release. Prior to this, searching PDL consumed credits. Searches are now free - you are only charged when enrichment successfully returns data.

How to Run Enrichment

Manual Enrichment (Single Lead)

  1. Go to the Leads List within an automation.

  2. Locate the lead you want to enrich.

  3. Click the Enrich button next to the lead.

  4. The system queries PDL and returns available email or phone data if a match is found.

  5. If a match is found, 0.5 credits are deducted. If no match is found, no credits are charged.

Bulk Enrichment

  1. Go to the Leads List within an automation.

  2. Select the leads you want to enrich using the checkboxes.

  3. Click Enrich Selected.

  4. The system processes each lead. Credits are only deducted for successful matches.

Auto Enrichment

  1. Open the automation and click the Enrichment tab.

  2. Toggle Auto Enrichment on.

  3. Choose a trigger — for example, enrich automatically when a first connection is made.

  4. Set a credit limit to prevent rapid depletion by large automations.

  5. Save the configuration.

🤓 Tip: Use triggers like 'first connection' to enrich only contacts who have expressed interest, rather than enriching your entire lead list upfront. This conserves credits for high-value leads.

Managing Your Credit Balance

Most customers receive a monthly credit allocation as part of their subscription. To check and manage your balance:

  1. Go to Settings (click the Settings icon in the top-right corner).

  2. Select Plan & Billing.

  3. Your credit balance is shown in the Subscriptions panel.

  4. To purchase additional credits, contact your Customer Success Manager.

⚠️ Important: Unused free credits do not roll over to the next month. Additional purchased credits may have different expiry terms — check with your CSM.

Enriched Data and CRM Sync

When enrichment returns new contact details, you can push them back to your Vincere CRM automatically:

  • If the lead already exists in Vincere, the record is updated with the new email or phone number.

  • If the lead does not exist in Vincere, a new record is created.

  • A sync status column on the lead table shows progress: Not Synced, Syncing, Synced, or Error.
