Overview
Link your Vincere database to Automate Outreach so you can pull candidate and contact lists straight into your outreach campaigns - no exporting, no spreadsheets, no copy-pasting.
đ Note: Vincere is a recruitment CRM for high-volume agencies. Connecting it lets you use your existing Vincere records as a data source when building a campaign prospect list.
Before you begin
Have the following ready. The connection itself takes only a couple of minutes once you have your credentials to hand.
Requirement | Why you need it |
Vincere Tenan | Your Vincere subdomain: the part before .vincere.io in your web address. |
Vincere API Key | The API key for your Vincere account. No key yet? Contact Vincere Customer Support and ask them to generate one for connecting to Access Automate Outreach. |
Vincere sign-in | To finish connecting, you are sent to Vincere to sign in and approve access, so keep your Vincere login handy. |
Redirect URL registered | Vincere only allows sign-in to return to approved addresses. The Redirect URL shown on the Vincere integration page must be added to your Vincere API app configuration (see Register the Redirect URL in Vincere below), or the connection can't complete. |
Open the Vincere integration
In the left sidebar, click Integrations. Under CRM Integration, find the Vincere card and click it to open its connection page.
Enter your connection details
In the Connection Configuration panel, fill in the two fields, then click Connect.
Field | What to enter |
Tenant | Your Vincere subdomain only. The page automatically wraps it as https://<tenant>.vincere.io, so you don't type the https:// or .vincere.io. Don't enter the literal word identify - use your own unique Tenant ID. |
API Key | The API key issued by Vincere. |
â ď¸ Important: Enter each value exactly as issued - the Tenant and API Key are case-sensitive and must have no leading or trailing spaces. Your Integrator Key and API Key are sensitive credentials: treat them like passwords and do not share them. A mistyped value is the most common reason a connection fails.
Register the Redirect URL in Vincere
The Vincere integration page displays a read-only Redirect URL.
Before the sign-in step can succeed, this exact URL must be added to the list of allowed redirect URIs in your Vincere API app configuration - Vincere will only send you back to an address it recognises.
Copy the Redirect URL from the integration page and give it to the person that manages your Vincere API app (or add it yourself if you have access). If it isn't registered, authorisation fails and the connection stays Disconnected.
Authorise with Vincere
After you click Connect, Automate Outreach saves your details and redirects you to Vincere to sign in and authorise access. Sign in with your Vincere account and approve the connection.
Vincere then returns you to Automate Outreach (via the registered Redirect URL) and the connection is completed.
Verify the connection
Return to the Integrations page. The Vincere card now shows a green Connected badge, and Vincere becomes selectable as a data source in the campaign wizard.
Use Vincere data in a campaign
Once Vincere is connected, it becomes available as a data source in the campaign wizard. The wizard has five steps; Vincere comes into play at Step 2 (choosing the source) and Step 3 (building the audience).
For the full end-to-end walkthrough of creating a campaign, see Creating Your First Campaign, and for building the messaging steps see Using Sequences & Templates Effectively.
On the Campaigns page, click Create Campaign.
At the Campaign Basics step, open the Data Source field and select Vincere (each campaign uses a single data source - see the FAQ below).
At the Target Audience step, choose whether you are targeting Candidates or Contacts (clients), then narrow the selection using the Vincere filters options (pulled live from your account). For example:
keyword search across the selected record type.
Functional expertise and sub-expertise.
Industry and sub-industry.
Brand.
Candidate / Contact sources.
Distribution lists and Talent pools (by owner).
You can also cherry-pick specific records rather than taking the whole filtered set.
Preview the results and confirm the prospects to include.
đ Note: records are only pulled from Vincere at this point (nothing is synced in bulk beforehand).
Complete the remaining steps - Choose a Sequence, Timing, and Review & Launch - then launch.
These are the same regardless of data source; the linked guides cover them in detail.
đ¤ Tip: Start with a focused, well-targeted Vincere list rather than a broad one. Personalised outreach to 50 well-chosen prospects consistently outperforms generic outreach to 500.
What data is imported
When you pull records from Vincere, the following fields flow into your campaign and can be used with merge tags to personalise your messages:
Imported field | Used for |
First name, last name, full name | Greeting and personalisation (e.g. {{firstName}}) |
Location | City, state, country |
Email address | The channel for automated email steps (required) |
Phone number | Phone Call tasks and SMS steps |
Job title | Targeting and {{jobTitle}} personalisation |
Company | Targeting and {{currentEmployer}} personalisation |
Consent / GDPR data | Imported where available, to help you respect existing opt-out preferences |
Compliance and consent
Because Vincere records relate to real people, the same compliance rules apply as with any Automate Outreach data source:
Every email template must include the {{unsubscribeLink}} merge tag. Templates without it cannot be saved and published - this is a legal requirement under GDPR and CAN-SPAM.
Anyone on your Compliance Centre opt-out list is automatically excluded from campaigns, even if their record still exists in Vincere.
â ď¸ Important: GDPR reminder - under GDPR and UK GDPR you must honour opt-out requests immediately and permanently, and be able to demonstrate that you have done so. The Compliance Centre keeps a timestamped audit trail of opt-outs. If you are unsure whether a segment of your Vincere database can be contacted for outreach, consult your organisation's data protection officer before launching.
Troubleshooting
Symptom | What to do |
Status stays Disconnected after clicking Connect | Re-check your Tenant and API Key, confirm the Redirect URL is registered in your Vincere API app, and make sure you completed the Vincere sign-in/authorisation step. The most common causes are an incorrect Tenant, a changed or revoked API Key, a Redirect URL that isn't registered in Vincere, or an authorisation that wasn't finished. Re-enter the correct values, click Connect, and complete the Vincere sign-in again. |
Vincere is connected but doesn't appear as a data source | Confirm the Vincere card shows Connected (not Disconnected) on the Integrations page. Try running a search in Vincere with the same criteria. If the issue persists, contact the support team. |
No candidates or contacts returned in the preview | Broaden your keyword and filter criteria on the Target Audience step. Very narrow filters can exclude everyone in the selected segment. |
Disconnecting or reconnecting Vincere
To change credentials, reopen the Vincere integration page, update the Tenant or API Key, and click Connect again - you'll be redirected to Vincere to sign in and re-authorise. Reconnecting is the quickest fix when your API Key has been rotated by your Vincere administrator.
âFrequently asked questions
Q: Can I connect multiple Vincere accounts?

Ans: Only one Vincere connection is supported per Automate Outreach account. If you need to switch to a different Vincere account, update the credentials on the Vincere integration page and click Connect - the existing connection will be replaced.
Q: Does connecting Vincere import all my records automatically?
Q: Does connecting Vincere import all my records automatically?
Ans: No. Connecting Vincere gives Automate Outreach access to your database; it does not copy or sync records in bulk. Records are only pulled in when you build a campaign audience at the Target Audience step, using the keyword and filter criteria you choose at that point.
Q: What happens if my Vincere credentials are rotated or expire?
Q: What happens if my Vincere credentials are rotated or expire?
Ans: The connection will stop working and Vincere will no longer be available as a data source in the campaign wizard. Re-open the Vincere integration page, enter your updated Tenant and API Key, and sign in to Vincere again to restore it.
Q: Can I use Vincere alongside another data source in the same campaign?
Q: Can I use Vincere alongside another data source in the same campaign?
Ans: No. Each campaign uses a single data source, chosen at the Campaign Basics step. If you need to reach people from both Vincere and another source, run separate campaigns for each.
Q: Are opt-outs in the Compliance Centre respected when using Vincere data?
Q: Are opt-outs in the Compliance Centre respected when using Vincere data?
Ans: Yes. Regardless of the data source, anyone on your Compliance Centre opt-out list is automatically excluded from all campaigns. This applies to Vincere records in exactly the same way as any other prospect list.
