Understanding Analytics and Reporting in Access Automate Outreach

How to use analytics in Access Automate Outreach - including date filters, month grouping, activity logs, and interpreting your campaign reporting data.

Written by Terence Cassidy

Access Automate Outreach provides analytics to help you understand how your campaigns are performing. This article explains how to use date filters, interpret grouped data, and get the most from your reporting.

Setting a date range

Use the date filter at the top of any analytics view to set the reporting period you want to analyse. The filter button updates to reflect whichever grouping period is active (for example, if you're viewing data grouped by month, the button shows the selected month range).

🤓 Tip: If the date range shown doesn't match what you expect, check the grouping selector. Switching between day, week, and month groupings changes how the filter is displayed.

Grouping by month

When you group analytics data by month, results align to calendar months — for example, selecting June shows data from 1 June through 30 June. Data is not split across partial weeks or offset by campaign start dates.

This means month-over-month comparisons reflect full calendar periods, making it straightforward to compare campaign performance across months.

Using the Activity Log

The Activity Log records all campaign-level events, including emails sent, replies detected, CRM sync updates, and sequence progressions. Use it to:

  • Audit what happened to a specific lead at a point in time.

  • Investigate why a lead did or didn't progress through a sequence.

  • Confirm CRM sync activity after a bulk sync.

The Activity Log handles all event types correctly. If you previously saw the log crash when viewing certain events, this has been resolved in v26.07.03.

Tips for accurate reporting:

  • Use calendar month grouping for monthly business reviews — it aligns with how most teams track performance.

  • Use day or week grouping for granular campaign analysis, such as identifying which day of the week gets the most replies.

  • If a date range doesn't return the data you expect, try adjusting the grouping period — data may be grouped differently than anticipated.

  • Use the Activity Log alongside analytics charts to understand the story behind the numbers.
